The People Behind TechMinds Reviews

TechMinds is run by a small team of independent product reviewers. Every product recommendation on this site comes from someone who bought or borrowed the product, tested it for at least 30 days in real working conditions, and wrote the review themselves. No copywriters, no AI rewrites, no paid placements disguised as editorial.

Editor-in-Chief

王争气 — Senior Product Reviewer

王争气 has spent 10 years testing consumer electronics and software for independent publications in China and Southeast Asia. Before founding TechMinds, he covered laptops, smartphones, and PC peripherals for two tech blogs and consulted on AI tool selection for three mid-size engineering organizations.

Coverage focus: AI coding tools, productivity apps, mechanical keyboards, smartwatches, and any gadget that genuinely changes how a person works.

Review philosophy: “If I cannot explain why a product is good with a measurement, I do not recommend it. Adjectives without numbers are filler.”

How the team works

Every reviewer on TechMinds follows the same process:

  1. Acquire the product — Buy it at full retail price, or borrow a review unit that is returned after testing. When a review unit is used, the article footer states this explicitly.
  2. Test for 30+ days — Real use in the reviewer’s actual workflow. A keyboard gets typed on. A coding tool gets used to ship a real project. A smartwatch gets worn to the gym and to bed.
  3. Independent verification — Spec sheets cross-checked against manufacturer datasheets. User reports from forums and communities consulted to confirm or refute the reviewer’s experience.
  4. Editorial review — A second reviewer reads the draft and flags claims that sound like AI-generated filler, vague language, or unsupported assertions.
  5. Disclosure — Affiliate status, review-unit status, and any relevant commercial relationship declared in the footer of every article.

What we do not do

  • We do not accept payment to publish a positive review. Reviews that look paid are rejected at intake.
  • We do not let affiliate commissions influence scores or recommendations. If two products tie on merit, we do not pick the one with the higher commission.
  • We do not publish product coverage we have not personally tested.
  • We do not run sponsored content that mimics editorial tone. Sponsored pieces, when we accept them, are clearly labeled.
